Family Fun Day, Face Painting, Flying Feathers and More

Family Fun Day, Sat, July 30th 11 to 4 PM 
 

 

  • Meet 'The Flying Feathers' Performance Birds
  • Art Time With Crayons
  • Simple Face Painting
  • Learn To Make Tin Can Paper 

"Flying Feathers" Performance Bird Noon - 1:30

Read about these birds and their owners, Bob and Charlene, on the  

Murphy, a green wing macaw, Hercules, a military macaw, Joey, a blue front Amazon and two umbrella cockatoos,  Marilyn Monroe and Ringo Starr, will be some of the birds you'll meet Saturday from noon until 1:30 when they fly to perform at Helen, Ga.
Free digital photos of you and the birds will be e-mailed to you if you'd like a souvenir photo.
For Kids: Make a Bird Drawing. Free Paper and Crayons to use at shop. Draw pictures of the birds from "Flying Feathers" or just stay and draw what you like! Photos of drawings will be posted on a Patch blog.
Face Painting 1- 4 PM Get digital photos of your painted face e-mailed to you.
Make Tin Can Paper
Final Week of Christmas in July with Handmade by Dawn
 
This is a project for older elementary school kids through adults. As the name implies, Dawn will use #10 tin cans to create either a round piece of handmade paper, or a cookie cutter shaped ornament. From 11:30 to 4:30 or until supplies run out. It takes approximately 15-minutes to complete. Space is first come, first serve. 




Family Fun Day
When/Where: Saturday, July 30, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., The , 94 Main Street, Lilburn. 
Why Go: Have a fun day in Old Town with birds and art. Locals who stop by can get their faces painted, make tin can paper, and draw their own art. From noon to 1:30 p.m., a Flying Feathers performance will have bird owners showing off their exotic birds.
